We are getting closer to being able to open our store. We are getting the shelves stocked and are waiting to pass our inspection. My son Brian and Ryan's family have been a great to help us in getting ready, on a volunteer basis. I know we wouldn't be this close to being ready to go without their help. I am truly grateful for close, loving families.

THANKSGIVING
It was great to get together with family on Thanksgiving. I wish my Mom had felt well enough to come. This tradition just isn't the same with out GiGi and PaPa. We started the day off with a phone call on Skype to Kelly's family in Germany. We sure wish they could be with us also. After the turkey dinner and pie we played a hotly contested game of Phase 10. On one round, after the hands were dealt, it was discovered that each of Stacy's family had a skip card. What are the odds of that happening? Ryan was the big winner.

VAMPIRES ROCK
Stacy, Wendy and I had a great time at the midnight showing of "New Moon". We went to dinner and then got in line around 8:30 pm. Thankfully they let us line up inside at 9:00 pm. I was up for about 23 hours. I got up at 4:20 am to get ready for work and went to bed at 3:20am the next morning. I really liked the movie but this aging body was pretty tired! We just wish Kelly had caught a plane and gone to the show with us.

Bargain Warehouse
Well, we've done it! My daughter Stacy and her husband Ryan and Lynn and I are opening a business. It is called Bargain Warehouse. We are leasing a building right across from Sam's Club and next to Hungry Bear Pizza in Layton, Utah. We are going to sell a little bit of everything, from furniture and rugs to party supplies and electronics too. We are in the cleaning and setting up process and hope to be open soon. I'll keep you posted on its progress.

Happy Birthday Dani!
Dani's birthday is on Halloween. Lynn and I took her to lunch and shopping along with her two sisters. We went into Wall Mart back to the office supply aisle and her eyes just lit up! She picked out a ream of paper, white out, tape, pencils, post it notes and an electric pencil sharpener. She was so excited. She also picked out a game and an outfit. Dani is not your typical 11 year old.
