Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Lauryn who turned 7 on December 26th and Grace who turned 10 on January 14th. These are some sweet girls!!

3rd Sunday Family Dinner

On the third Sunday of every month we get all get together for a family dinner. We celebrate the birthday of who ever is having one that month. The birthday person gets to use a blue plate to show that it is their special month. Well January we celebrate the birthday's of our granddaughters Grace and Nica. Grace, who turned 10 on the 14th, is in Germany and we got to talk to her on the phone and wish her happy birthday. Nica who will be turning 6 on the 27th was the star at the family dinner. The birthday person gets to pick what they want for dinner. Nica wanted Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Salad (for Mom she said), Jello, and Chocolate Cake and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. She picked a great dinner. After we finished eating we sang happy birthday to her and she blew out her candles. Then we cleaned up and everyone went down stairs to play the Wii. Each of us created our own Mii person on the Wii then played the games. Brian and Ryan came up with the most interesting Mii personas. Dani and Brian kept trading the top spot on the Slalom Ski racing. Stacy and Roger fought for the top spot on the obstacle course and Roger unfairly got the crown since they tied, we asume he got it because he was last up. We also did the Snowball fight and everyone delighted in laying Oma, (me) flat. Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to the next challenge.

Bargain Warehouse

Well the new store is doing well. Here are just a few pictures of what is on the shelves. We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Fun in the Snow

The day after our sleepover we went sledding at the school by our home. There was lots of new snow and the kids really got buried going down the hill.

Oma's Sleepover

At our sleepover with Dani, Britti and Nica, Wendy made us play Face Paint Phase Ten. This is a game where the person who wins the Phase gets to put face paint on those that didn't. Roger was the big winner.
