Mother's Day - Wow, this one will be hard to top!

Mother’s Day was great. I was just coming home from my cousin’s funeral and my plane landed about 4:10 pm. Dinner at my home was scheduled at 5:00 pm. My daughters were in charge of having things ready and they did a great job. My Mom and Dad drove up from Brigham City to be with us which made the Day that much better.

After a lovely dinner the Mother’s Day gifts started coming. One of the gifts my kids all give to me is to help me plant flowers at my home. I've asked for this gift over the past several years. I plant a lot of flowers. So after dinner my three granddaughters came in holding plants and three of my kids were holding small shovels. They presented me with cards and the three plants and a promise to help plant my flowers.

Then my oldest daughter, Wendy, gave me a card from she and her husband, Roger. On it were all the weird pictures of me they could find. It was cute. I looked quickly at it and put it down. Wendy told me I hadn't seen all the pictures so I picked it up to look again. Down at the bottom there was an ultrasound of Wendy and Roger's baby!!! I started screaming and ran over to hug her.

We are so excited to be expecting another grandchild. This is Wendy's first one. On the back of the card was a picture of Roger with his stomach sticking out and a note saying 7 weeks and 3 days. She hasn't been to an OB/GYN yet so doesn't have a due date but as near as they can figure she will be due around December 22 through 25th.

After that Lynn had me in tears when he gave me a beautiful blue topaz necklace and earrings. I loved them but nothing topped Wendy's news.

It was a wonderful Mother’s Day and I’m happy my Mom and Dad were there to hear the good news.

HAPPY GRADUATION !!

Wendy graduated with an associates degree in Health Science and one in Nursing on May 7, 2010. We are so proud of her and all her efforts.  Roger's family are the one's holding up the WENDY sign.

Good Bye Diana

Good Bye Diana. My cousin Diana died unexpectedly on May 4. She was a beautiful lady who was full of attitude and had a zest for life. She was known to all as the Queen or Lady Di. I went to her funeral in California on Saturday. It was beautiful and all her family and friends were there. I’ll miss you Diana!
